No, it wasn't adding a pool or bowling alley that raised the market value; it was Heines' realization that the house was actually an ancient, fortified church from 1699. He dedicated himself to carefully restoring the house and tracking down period furniture (included in the asking price), a 30-year labor of love that's made the house a gem -- and may make Heines a fortune.
