Man shoots himself and wife -- at gun safety class

Sounds like a bad joke, doesn't it? A man attends a gun safety class and accidentally shoots himself -- and his wife. It was no joke for Michael and Michelle Deel of Roanoke, Va., who both took a firearms safety class over the weekend. When the instructor left the room, Michael shot himself in the hand with a .45-caliber handgun. The bullet passed through his hand and struck Michelle, who was sitting next to him, in the leg. The couple was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening wounds. No word on whether they'll be taking a makeup class.
