Guy hiding 33 pounds of caterpillars says they are tasty snacks

8/25/2012

The contents of one man’s luggage really bugged out Swiss border guards recently. Adrian Onobanjo arrived at the Basel airport from Togo, and when his luggage was scanned by an X-ray machine, guards made a creepy (crawler) of a discovery -- 33 pounds of dead black caterpillars. The stunned workers found the insects in a false bottom in Onobanjo’s suitcase. Onobanjo claimed the caterpillars were a snack, and that he was “addicted” to them. When authorities told him his bounty would be seized and destroyed, Onobanjo grabbed as many as he could and started eating them, saying they were “a delicacy and should not be wasted.” [Source]
