Man wakes from coma, asks for KFC instead of mom

Whatever they put in fast food, it sure induces powerful cravings -- some outlasting a coma. Sam Boughen was out cold in the hospital for eight days, and when he awoke, it wasn't his mother he asked for: It was Col. Sanders. The 26-year-old fried-chicken fan from Somerset, England, has a rare liver condition and fell into a coma after he contracted E. coli and a deadly lung disease. Family members holding a bedside vigil were stunned when he typed out his first words (a tracheotomy left him temporarily unable to speak). "We thought he would tell us that he loved us -- but instead he asked for a KFC," said Boughen's dad. "Then we knew we had Sam back."
