Selfless pet shop owner forgoes Christmas sales to help rescue pups
12/26/2012Pet lovers are showering an Aussie businesswoman with praise after she sacrificed profits for puppies. Mandy Tregeagle, who runs The Pet Spot in Adelaide, posted on Facebook that she was halting puppy sales until after Christmas to discourage impulse buying by unprepared pet owners and to encourage the adoption of rescue pups. Quickly going viral, her post has over 20,000 likes and 800 comments. Twitter user @LilRubyFox cheers, "BRAVO!" and @jravely tweets, "Good for them!"
