Facebook policy, not vanity, forcing 104-year-old to lie about her age
2/21/2013In real life, Marguerite Joseph is 104 years old. But according to her Facebook profile, she's a relatively sprightly 99. It's not that the grandmother from Grosse Pointe Shores, Mich., doesn't want to admit how old she really is, but because a Facebook glitch forces her to lie about her age. Her granddaughter Gail Marlow says that whenever she tries to enter Marguerite's birth year 1908, the social network automatically resets it to 1928. "I would love to see her real age on Facebook... in April she's going to be 105. It's special," said Marlow, who's tried contacting Mark Zuckerberg for help, to no avail. [Source]
