Marines will discharge officer who criticized Obama
4/25/2012The U.S. Marine Corps is discharging a sergeant who criticized President Obama on Facebook. Sgt. Gary Stein, who served nine years with the Marines, will be given an "other-than-honorable discharge" and lose all military benefits because of posts he made on Facebook, including one in which he pasted a picture of the president's head on a "Jackass" movie poster and another saying "Screw Obama" and "I will not follow orders from him." Officials say the posts violated a Pentagon policy that limits the free speech of members of the military.
Do you think the military is right to limit the free speech of officers?
