Ohio pair arrested for shoot-'em-up practice with AK-47s in backyard
1/17/2013It can rain cats and dogs, and it can rain men, but when it starts raining bullets, you'd better call 911. Residents of an Ohio neighborhood justifiably freaked out when bullets fell on their roofs, hit the walls of their homes and, in one case, blasted a hole in the microwave. Mark Bornino and R. Daniel Volpone were both arrested (and reportedly both drinking) when officers found them shooting an AK-47 at paper targets in the backyard. The targets didn't have backstops, and the houses hit by the bullets were a quarter mile away. "I could hear bullets flying over my head," one officer said. "Our indications are they did not know they were hitting homes." [Source]
