Marquette basketball video is the Armageddon of music
9/20/2012You can't go three clicks on YouTube without finding a sports team lip-synching "Call Me Maybe," and maybe the men's basketball team at Marquette should have stuck to that. Instead, someone decided we needed to hear the Golden Eagles do the actual singing themselves, if you apply a loose definition to the art form. We're guessing these takes won't make the video interludes during timeouts at games, although Vander Blue's brutal "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" deserves an audience, just to show what a gold medal in tin ear sounds like. If there's a March Madness for massacred music, take Marquette in the pool.
