1/11/2013Keen to get off this rock once and for all? If you're over 18, smart, and physically and mentally sound, Mars wants you. Netherlands-based non-profit organization Mars One believes it will colonize the red planet by 2023 and is seeking adventurous souls to establish a settlement. And they'll take just about anyone who's happy to train for eight years and farewell Earth forever. "Gone are the days when bravery and the number of hours flying a supersonic jet were the top criteria," said Mars One's chief medical officer Norbert Kraft. "We are more concerned with how well each astronaut works and lives with the others." [Source]
