Coach who tripped players gets jail time to ponder his mean feat
2/27/2013This is a real trip to the penalty box. Martin Tremblay lost his cool in the post-game handshake line at a peewee hockey game, tripping a 13-year-old opposing player whose fall knocked over a teammate. Now a hard-butt judge with no stomach for parental dirtbags has hit him with a 15-day jail sentence, dismissing Tremblay's excuses of being overworked and off his anti-depressants. Instead, judge Patrick Chen noted the coach was already on probation and during the game had heckled the victimized player, who injured a wrist in the fall. Chen likened the trip to "a cowardly sucker punch," though he was merciful enough to let Tremblay serve his time on weekends. [Source]
