High school mascots' just-in-fun fight turns into costumed brawl

Maybe it's time to bring back real animal mascots, since the human kind seem to have lost their brains in a testosterone fog.  Louisville high schools Male and Manual took their rivalry to the basketball court, and naturally a just-for-laughs "fight" between the costumed mascots was part of the program. Except it took an ugly turn pretty much from the opening flying kick by the Manual Ram. Pretty soon, school personnel were pulling Male's Bulldog off the top of his fellow combatant as students screamed for blood. That got everyone into the spirit: Scuffles between students continued outside after the game, and several were disciplined.
