Elizabeth Warren makes Scott Brown's Senate stay a short one
11/7/2012On a final campaign appearance in West Roxbury, Mass., on Tuesday, Sen. Scott Brown encountered a group of union workers who told him, "Pack your bags, buddy." That union vote helped boost Elizabeth Warren into office on election night, restoring historical order in the strongly Democratic state after Brown had scored a stunning upset in a 2010 special election to replace the deceased Ted Kennedy. Even a late "Vote the person, not the party" approach in the $68 million campaign wasn't enough to save Brown, who occasionally strayed from the Republican mainstream. [Source]
