Master criminal allegedly tries to steal police station clock

Our newest inductee into the "dumb criminal" ranks is a man who cops in Panama City, Fla., claim tried to steal a clock from a police station while he was under suspicion of another theft. Officers were processing Michael Marquez and his associate Dennis Baugham for allegedly pinching a shopping cart and camping equipment. As they tried to figure out who owned the tent, camping stove and cooking fuel found with the two men, officers keeping an eye on Marquez say they saw him take the clock off the wall of the interview room where he was sitting and attempt to stash it in his backpack. Both men were booked into the Bay County Jail.
