Math geek has proof that James Bond can't be killed
5/9/2012James Bond may only live once but, according to a man with a lot of free time and a Bond DVD box set, he's avoided 4,662 bullets to do it. In a letter to New Scientist, Gordon Stanger said that the statistical probability that good ol' 007 should still be alive is an astronomical one in 1.4 x 10 to the 104th power. He calculated that Bond has survived 130 attempts on his life and has killed 198 villains and their assorted henchmen. "What is even more remarkable about the statistics involved here, is that somebody has bothered to count the shots fired at Bond," the (unappreciative!) editor wrote.
