12/3/2012Relax, early-rising TV watchers. Matt Lauer isn't going the way of Ann Curry on the "Today" show — today or any day soon. Despite the show's ratings slippage, Lauer's NBC bosses have dismissed rumors they're booting him, and current and former colleagues are defending him against allegations of diva-esque behavior. Former "Today" co-anchor Katie Couric fondly recalls how Lauer once asked hotel staff to hide his photo all over her room, including under her pillow and in the minibar.
