Competitive college wrestler throws stupid second-place medal in trash

We're guessing when this guy's not wrestling, he's listening to "Eye of the Tiger" and chanting pump-up mantras in the mirror. ("BE. A. WINNER!") University of Iowa wrestler Matt McDonough was apparently so dissatisfied with his second-place medal after the Hawkeyes' disappointing Big Ten Tournament performance that he tossed the token of accomplishment in the garbage. ("BECAUSE MEN IN MATT'S FAMILY DON'T LOSE! THEY'RE WINNERS, DAMMIT.") When a reporter for the college newspaper dug it out of the trash (because that's apparently how young journalists are finding scoops these days) and posted a pic to Twitter, the image went viral.
