Drunk guy failed to add horses to joyride stealing spree, cops say

Police in Boaz, Ala., say 24-year-old Matthew Anderson Todd had a pretty wild night last Friday. First he was arrested for DUI after a car crash and taken to the hospital for treatment. He snuck away, allegedly stole an ambulance and got it stuck in mud in a nearby street. Boaz Assistant Chief Todd Adams says Todd then "walked across a pasture and got into a barn where he tried to saddle up two horses," but was too "intoxicated" to ride either of them. So instead of stealing horses, Todd allegedly stole two cars, the first of which he crashed. He was finally arrested when he returned to the same hospital to seek treatment for his original injuries.
