Mayor's overgrown crumb-catcher will be put to the vote
7/4/2012Dan Snarr, the mayor of Murray, Utah, is rumored to have a mustache that's "the longest of its kind in Utah and perhaps the nation." But the 18-inch handlebar is coming under public vote — and Snarr says that if his townspeople vote it down, he'll cut it off without a second thought. Votes — via actual thumbs, shown up or down — will be collected at Murray's Fourth of July parade. ("Up" is apparently a nod supporting egregiously long mustaches — it's a vote for save; down means it goes under the knife.) Snarr's wife, April, is voting thumbs-down: "He's always been kind of strange, and he likes to do weird things. I tell people to pray for me."
