McDonald's is taking fries and small drinks off its $1 menu
3/11/2012McDonald's is making some changes to its value options - to increase its own value. Gone off the $1 menu are two old favorites: small fries and small drinks. They'll be replaced with cookies and ice cream cones. And, being launched later this month is a new "Extra Value Menu," which features double cheeseburgers, various snack wraps and 20-piece McNuggets, which will now all be sold as "extra value" options, at the same price they were being sold for before.
"We're just making it easier for customers to find them and enjoy them," insisted CMO Neil Golden. And with a word that suggests they're getting something new - or cheaper. Stockholders be lovin' it.
