12/17/2012Forget the Christmas ham. How does a Christmas Big Mac sound? According to leaked internal memos, Mc Donald's is pushing its stores to remain open on Christmas Day in hopes that it can repeat the huge sales of Thanksgiving Day, when it posted an estimated $36 million in sales. (On Thanksgiving, 6,000 more stores stayed open than in 2011.) The fast food giant is hoping for a similar yuletide boon this month, something that was unheard of in the past. The company’s other big December news is moving the beloved McRib sandwich's release to this month. [Source]
