Meet the four-star general who spent loads of government funds
8/18/2012Army Lt. Gen. General William "Kip" Ward has a lot of explaining to do. A new 90-page (!) report made public by the Department of Defense, shows the four-star general has been spending loads of government funds on lavish 5-star hotel stays and more. Among the report’s most egregious expenditures are an 11-day trip to Washington that cost taxpayers $129,000, an overnight stay in a $750-a-night suite in Bermuda with his wife, and $18,500 to self-publish 2000 copies of two of his own books. The government has stripped the general of two stars. Maybe, due to his spending, they can’t afford the other two? [Source]
