Mega Millions winner says she screwed up, gave ticket away

In January, Emily Leach won $1 million in the California lottery and -- against even the most Hollywood of odds -- she won another $260,000 in last weekend's Mega Millions drawing. Or did she? Leach was in a convenience store line with "an armful of Scratchers tickets" when a man asked the local celeb for money. She gave him $100 and accidentally passed him the winning ticket too. "I feel like I'm going to come off as a huge, huge bitch if I say, 'You need to give me my ticket back," Leach tells the Mercury News. Lottery officials are investigating, but in the meantime, we'll be following Leach into every convenience store until forever.
