Ryan Lochte’s sister repeatedly says 'chink' in newly-surfaced clip

Well, Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer Ryan Lochte’s sister Megan seems enlightened, sensitive and well spoken. That is, if you’re a big fan of obnoxious, small-minded “Ugly American” behavior. In a 2008 clip of a Maryland-based talk show, taped just after her brother set a few records at the Beijing Olympics, Megan describes her time in China as “chinked out” because there were “chinks everywhere.” When show host Mickey Cucchiella suggests she not use the offensive pejorative to describe the Chinese, Megan says, “But it, like, fits them because they’re, like, chinks!” UGH. Ryan should, like, throw her in the deep end of a pool. Megan has since apologized for the incident and explained that her comments had been spoken while in-character during a skit: "The skit and my character were SUPPOSED to be making fun of ignorance. It was never the intent to make fun of any culture or class of people."
