DJs behind royal prank call suspend themselves after suicide
12/7/2012The two Australian DJs behind the royal prank call-turned-tragedy are off the air, at least for the moment. Nurse Jacintha Saldanha was found dead Friday in an apparent suicide, days after she transferred a hoax call from Australian DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian to Duchess Kate's nurse at the Edward VII hospital in London. Now, the two DJs, who posed (quite ineptly) on the call as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles, have announced their own suspension, saying that they "will not return to their radio show until further notice out of respect for what can only be described as a tragedy."
