9/11/2012If you've ever scrolled through a Reddit thread or a Facebook feed and wondered what made Willy Wonka so condescending or why one doesn't simply walk into Mordor, this video is for you. YouTuber "hatinhand" has scrolled through the Internet, collecting the context for a lot of popular memes, which means he watched a lot of "Futurama," "South Park" and "Ancient Aliens." But like pretty much any greatest hits collection, there are things that have been left out. (We were disappointed that Hipster Ariel and the CSI-opening "YEAAAAAAAH!" were forgotten). But — as Bill Reilly said to become a Meme Legend — you can't explain that.
