Get ready for one of the most terrible, awful, dreadful winters ever

Had enough of the stifling summer heat? Enjoy it while it lasts, because there’s going to be at least one helluva storm this winter, according to experts. Meteorologists are already forecasting a dark, cold winter, particularly for the East Coast in January and February. It all comes down to a powerful current that runs along the South American coast. That current is now in the process of shifting from a La Nina (colder water temperatures) to an El Nino, which produces warmer water temperatures in the eastern tropical Pacific. In previous El Nino years, including the 1953-54 and 2002-03 seasons, heavy winter storms battered the U.S. But forecasters can get it wrong, can’t they? [Source]
