Get ready for one of the most terrible, awful, dreadful winters ever8/16/2012
Had enough of the stifling summer heat? Enjoy it while it lasts, because there’s going to be at least one helluva storm this winter, according to experts. That current is now in the process of shifting from a La Nina (colder water temperatures) to an El Nino, which produces warmer water temperatures in the eastern tropical Pacific. In previous El Nino years, including the 1953-54 and 2002-03 seasons, heavy winter storms battered the U.S. But forecasters can get it wrong, can’t they? [Source]
