Miami cops blew off emergency calls for coffee, women
2/5/2013You're out with your buds, drinking some coffee and catching up. A call comes in, you ignore it. Hey, no worries, right? Um, sure, unless you're an on-duty cop and the call is from a dispatcher asking you to respond to an unconscious child. Apparently, six Miami-Dade cops were in no rush to do their jobs, repeatedly caught on camera in 2010 ignoring emergency calls, including one about an unresponsive five-month-old — the cop in question kept drinking his coffee. In another incident, the same officer blew off a robbery call to meet a woman at a mall. The cops were disciplined for their utter incompetence. [Source]
