Bloomberg now wants all of New York state to ban big soft drinks

3/2/2013

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg wants to trim waistlines by expanding the Big Apple’s upcoming ban on big soft drinks. Yes, after March 12, large sugary drinks (bigger than 16 ounces) won’t be available at restaurants, concession stands or fast food joints in the city. And Bloomberg thinks all of New York state should follow his lead to better society. "Kids, once they get obese, they will be obese as adults. And this year, for the first time in the world, in the history of humanity, more people will die from overeating than from under-eating." Yes but what about all the accidents caused by New Yorkers speeding across the bridge to Long Island for a Big Gulp, mayor? [Source]
