'Brownie,' of FEMA infamy, pops off on Superdome
2/5/2013At least one person was totally on top of fighting at the Superdome during last night's Super Bowl: Michael "Heckuva job" Brown, the onetime Federal Emergency Management Agency head whose chief legacy is ignoring problems there in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Last night Brown reportedly tweeted: "Someone just told me there was fighting going on in the NOLA Superdome. #shocked." Whether Brown was snarkily suggesting that the folks in New Orleans' have an immutable love for tussling — which, you know, means he wasn't at fault for what went down at the Superdome in 2005 — or just being failing in an attempt to be clever, we'll never know.
