Oscar-nominated 'Green Mile' actor dead at 54
9/3/2012Actor Michael Clarke Duncan, known for his Oscar-nominated performance in "The Green Mile" and other blockbusters such as "Armageddon" and "Planet of the Apes," has died at age 54. The ex-bodyguard, whose acting presence was as massive as his size, passed away a Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where he'd been treated for a heart attack. According to a statement that quoted Duncan's fiancé, former "Apprentice" contestant Reverend Omarosa Manigault, he suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13 from which he never fully recovered. Duncan recently appeared in a video for PETA talking about how much better he felt after becoming a vegetarian more than three years ago. [Source]
