Nosy scientist sniffs out the reason we have two nostrils
11/5/2012We've all wondered why we needed two nostrils, right? OK, so the gross kid who sat next to you in third grade wondered why we don't have 10, since that's how many fingers we have, but never mind. Well, one of our favorite Internet scientists, Michael Stevens of Vsauce, is back with a video to spell it out for us (it has something to do with one nostril inhaling air better), plus a whole bunch of other stuff about outer space, memory and ... inbreeding? Hey, it's a wide, wonderful world of smells out there, except maybe for you anosmics. That's another word for olfactory rejects. This isn't just a science lesson, folks.
