Last week, Vick tweeted a photo of him and his daughter at home that also featured a box of Milk-Bone dog treats, leading a reporter to ask if he owned a dog. Vick refused to comment, but today, he finally issued a statement confirming he and his family have a dog. Vick said he understood "the strong emotions by some people" about him owning a dog, but said “our pet is well cared for” and that he would continue to "honor my commitment to animal welfare."
