Arkansas hunter says he's making boots, not Crocs, out of record gator
9/21/2012Move over, "Swamp People," because Arkansas’ own Mike Cottingham brought in a record-setting alligator last weekend. His XXL reptile was 13 feet 3 inches long and weighed in at a jaw-dropping 1,380 pounds — so big that it took five people to haul it onto the dock. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission confirms that Cottingham's catch is the biggest one that they've seen since legal gator huntin' began in 2007. Cottingham says he's going to have the alligator's head stuffed and will "make boots with the rest of the animal." We guess that's so he can prove to other gator hunters that they have some seriously big shoes to fill. [Source]
