Watch basketball coach 'motivate' team by shoving player really hard
2/18/2013This is tough love. Mike Montgomery, coach of the Golden Bears at UC Berkeley, shoved his own player, Allen Crabbe, in front of a packed home crowd Sunday night, and the incident has divided opinion. Some are condemning his "up-in-your-grill" antics as highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Others are thinking, "Well, it kind of did the trick." Cal was 15 points down to USC, but after the incident, the team went on a 40-20 run, and Crabbe himself scored a hatful to earn a triumphant 76-68 Cal win. "Worked, didn't it?" said the coach afterward, although he later released an apologetic statement. [Source]
