Million Muppet March planned for three days before election in DC
10/14/2012Mitt Romney clearly didn't know who he was messing with when he talked smack about Big Bird. Romney's now-infamous remark about cutting funding for PBS was protested worldwide by lovers of the giant feathered friend, and the controversy shows no sign of dying down. Case in point: the upcoming Million Muppet March, a protest at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. that will take place on Nov. 3, just three days before the election. The march is being organized by two "Sesame Street" fans — an Idaho student and a Los Angeles animation exec — who reportedly both came up with the idea (separately) during the Oct. 3 debate. So … do you stand with Big Bird? [Source]
