Livin' not so large: 200-square-foot homes for sale in DC
12/1/2012Itching to own a tiny piece of the American Dream — emphasis on "tiny" — but don’t have hundreds of thousands of dollars laying around to buy a house? You might want to move to Washington, D.C., where a neighborhood of tiny 150- to 200-square-foot mini houses is drawing interest from potential homeowners. The little abodes, built side by side in a once-vacant lot behind a line of row houses, sell for between $20,000 and $50,000 each, and are remarkably cute (they look like dollhouses! Come on). The lot was purchased by Boneyard Studios, a group of D.C. residents with a vision of tiny houses dancing in their heads. They plan to add a grassy garden area, a picnic table, and plant trees to surround the growing mini-'hood. [Source]
