Mini Mini Coopers make light work of Olympics duty

8/8/2012

Mini Coopers might not seem like rough-and-ready workhorse cars, but the brand found a clever way to pitch in duringthe London Olympics. Mini Mini Coopers, all in coordinating London 2012 paint jobs, have been drafted into duty for several track and field events, retrieving javelins, shot puts, and discuses as needed. Each of the mini cars, which are powered by batteries, can carry up to 18 pounds and lasts 35 minutes before requiring a charge. Surely they’ll be making these for home use soon, right? Suddenly the snacks are feeling very far away. [Source]
