Minnesota track lets loose the ostriches and camels
7/24/2012Mounting an ostrich can’t be the easiest thing to do, but five brave jockeys climbed aboard last Saturday for Canterbury Park’s annual Extreme Racing Day in Minnesota. Three of them got bucked from the birds in the ensuing race, but thankfully one of them was not the one holding the jockeycam that gives viewers a good look at just how an ostrich’s neck waggles back and forth when it’s running at full speed. Not extreme enough for you? The day also featured a ridiculous camel race won by the town’s mayor and a horse race that featured the announcer calling the race after inhaling some helium. It doesn’t get crazier than this in Minnesota. [Source]
