Sometimes in life, if you have an easier option, you should take it. Particularly during the dreaded question round of the Miss Universe pageant, a segment in which many big-haired ladies have been known to utter ridiculous answers about world peace and puppies. Miss Venezuela, aka Irene Sofia Esser Quintero, was asked a softball question ("If you could make a new law, what would it be?") in her native Spanish by a translator during Wednesday's telecast. She was one of the favorites to win. She could've answered in Spanish. But no. Watch as she goes down in a blaze of glory trying to be bilingual, spitting out a cringe-worthy mishmash of English through her giant pearly whites, earning her zero points. [Source]
