MIT and Mitt aren't the same thing, a poll worker learned today
11/7/2012A woman wearing an MIT T-shirt was nearly prevented from voting today by an overly ambitious poll worker in Boca Raton, Fla. The problem? "MIT," which the poll worker didn't realize stood for "Massachusetts Institute of Technology" rather than "Mit[t Romney]." (Hey — they're both from Massachusetts. Easy error!) Laws prohibit active campaigning near a polling site but not college T-shirts — and so, the woman was eventually allowed to cast her ballot. And by the way, Florida: We're seriously hoping this is the last voting problem we hear from you this election. [Source]
