Romney plan for Middle East: 'Kick the ball down the field'

The hits just keep coming for Mitt Romney. A day after the release of a "secret video" in which Romney is heard disparaging Obama supporters, the GOP presidential candidate appears in a new clip making revealing comments on the Middle East — comments not entirely in sync with his party's public positions. Romney says that Palestinians "have no interest whatsoever in establishing peace," though, as Mother Jones notes, the GOP platform supports a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict. Romney seems equally uninterested in pursuing peace in the Middle East: "We kick the ball down the field and hope that ... something will happen and resolve it." [Source]
