Make $250K? Romney and Obama consider that 'middle income'
9/14/2012As it turns out, politicians have a completely different idea of what makes a family middle class than many middle-class families do. In an interview with George Stephanopolous "Good Morning America," Mitt Romney laid out some principles of his proposes budget plan and said that it does not involve raising taxes on middle-income families. So who falls into that range? "Middle income is $200,000 to $250,000 and less," Romney said. For his take, President Obama also says making $250,000 and less qualifies as middle income, but the U.S. Census Bureau measures the current median household income as $50,054. Quite a bit less than these guys' idea of middle class. Politicians, they're just like us, right? [Source]
