Clueless anchor asks gold medal-winning track star if he's run before
2/26/2013Well, we know at least one person who didn't spend last summer doing the Mo-Bot. LaTonya Norton, an anchor for New Orleans station WDSU, didn't recognize two-time Olympic gold medalist Mo Farah (and apparently didn't look up his name before the interview either), which led to one of the more awkward interviews we've ever seen. Farah had just set a blazing course record during the Rock 'n' Roll New Orleans Half Marathon, prompting Norton to ask if it was his first time running. The super-humble Farah didn't mention his medals — or his world or European championship wins — while politely answering her questions. "Wow," Norton said. "You're off to a great start."
