Report a drunken driver tonight in Florida and you'll get $100
1/1/2013Interested in making a little extra money this New Year's Eve? For residents of Palm Beach County, Fla., police would like to remind them of the Mobile Eyes program, an initiative that rewards people with $100 for reporting drunken drivers to authorities. The program was started in 2001, but officials say the number of reports has dwindled over the year, possibly because residents have forgotten the program exists. Approximately 30 to 40 payments are made each year through the program, and deaths resulting from alcohol-related crashes are on the decline. [Source]
