'Mohawk Guy' makes his SOTU visit sound as wild as a trip to Mars
2/13/2013Bobak Ferdowsi is becoming America's guest. The NASA flight director reverentially known on the Internet as "Mohawk Guy" took over the telecast of the Curiosity rover's landing on Mars last summer and got a trip to Barack Obama's second inauguration out of it. Now Ferdowsi is the man-about-D.C. at the State of the Union address and is tweeting up a storm during his visit, and threatening the world record for all-caps and exclamation points in the process. A stop at the White House netted him a hug from First Lady Michelle Obama, a kiss from First Dog Bo, and some good advice from Twitter follower Rachel Donner: "Steal something awesome while you're there!"
