Mom rents billboard to get daughter elected prom queen

Some parents will do anything to make sure their child gets ahead -- even if it's in the quest for something as ultimately pointless as being crowned prom queen. A mother in Killeen, Texas, has gone on a full media blitz to promote her daughter's dreams of being crowned the fairest of the spring ball, with not only fliers and print ads in local papers, but also with a billboard. High school senior Brandy Day says she joked with her mom, Tammy, about getting a billboard to advertise her run for prom queen but was genuinely shocked when her mom texted her a picture of a rotating billboard that read "Vote Brandy Day for Prom Queen!"
