Monkey gets house arrest, sadly didn't get tiny little mug shot
10/2/2012Mookie might become the Lindsay Lohan of the monkey scene after being sentenced to a month of house arrest. The 19-year-old Capuchin monkey was on the beach this past Saturday with his owner, Brad Berman, when he bit a man on the shin. Even though Berman said that Mookie had never had a human snack before, Brevard County Animal Services revoked the monkey's beach privileges and ordered that he remain quarantined for 30 days to ensure that he doesn't have rabies. "For 20 years, I've been taking him out almost every day," Berman said. "To keep him in his cage would be like prison. Which is I guess where he'll be." [Source]
