Monster centenarian sturgeon is long, portly and fertile

This sturgeon is taller than most NBA players, weighs as much as an NFL linebacker and is older than any living human. The tale of the tape for the record-breaking sturgeon pulled out of the Wolf River near Shawano, Wis., this week, is something out of a movie -- it was 7-feet, 3-1/2-inches long, 240 pounds and estimated to be 125 years old. The sturgeon was found by Department of Natural Resources employees during their annual population study in the area, after she had laid 30 pounds of eggs. Relax. She was tagged and released.
