Listening to the Black Eyed Peas could make you drive off the road
1/14/2013Review that iPod playlist before you head out on the road, because Confused.com has released a list of the most dangerous songs to drive to. Topping the chart is the Black Eyed Peas' "Hey Mama," closely followed by Fall Out Boy's "Dead on Arrival" and M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes." Dr. Simon Moore of London University used the performance-monitoring MotorMate app to analyze video of folks behind the wheel and concluded that rambunctious tunes caused speeding and erratic driving. For optimal safety, Moore advises choosing music with a tempo like that of the human heart, played at a peaceful 60 to 80 beats per minute. Top choices include Norah Jones, Coldplay and Elton John.
